Where is Preston going next sunday?

To the best of my knowledge, the city is remaining in Lancashire.

It will be going on holiday to Spain on the week commencing 14th May, however.

I wonder where they're going to store all three sets.

As Peston's set is only used once a week, I would presume that it would be located in off site storage for the majority of the week and only brought in at the weekends. As storage space at TVC is limited, I wonder if they'll park the Loose Women or Lorraine set into the middle of TC3 during the weekends whilst Peston is being recorded? All just my assumption I hasten to add - I'm no expert on storage of TV sets! Does anyone know where Zoe Ball's new weekend show is being filmed? I assume they aren't using TVC for that as well.

Well it seems QI have completed their "P" series, which will air from the autumn on the BBC and that will be the final time they will use Studio 1 at the London Studios. More likely they will use Television Centre, Elstree or the soon to be reopened Riverside Studios for the "Q" season in 2019.

Is June 1st 2018 the official closing date for the remainder of the complex?

I've put together a half hour edit of the best bits from ITV Daytime's farewell to TLS today.

There seems to be a fast turnaround of sets at Television Centre, something which some were concerned about. The Graham Norton Show were using TC1 last night Thursday, and now tonight Sounds like Friday Night live from TC1. Proves to some of the naysayers that Television Centre can do fast turnaround of shows, as some felt they could not.

It would probably take longer to clear down TC1 from the Norton show, than to strike the SLFN 'set'.

For a set construction company it's one of the easier jobs, installing two performance stages - of which, come in pre constructed parts and just need underneath joining together - then hoist and power up the LED strip lights and show logo, load up the pre-set lighting and mics from the grid, add any additional lighting, then wheel in the cameras, and off you go for tech rehearsals.

It seems Fern Britton had her eye on the pink chair from the corner of the This Morning set, but clearly wasn't keen on the credenza next to it. Laughing

It's pretty tight apparently. There is a midnight curfew to cope with.

Apologies if has been mentioned before but where are the daytime shows moving to?

I'm only joking! Seriously though and again apologies if this has been mentioned before but does anyone know when the name was changed from the London Television Centre to the London Studios?
