Except all the equipment was stripped out, and auctioned off. So only good for an OB drive in I think?

Do ITV still own it or did a sale go through?

Am I right in thinking Fountain Studios is still standing too? Seems the theory of these being prime real estate doesn't match the reality.

Last autumn ITV sold its South Bank HQ building – built in the 1970s for London Weekend Television – to Mitsubishi Estate London in a £145.6 million cash deal.

Think in both cases this is just temporary for a few years until they get planning permission for redevelopment.

And also it provides a bit of income while they decide what to do with it. Interesting but I wonder how much work there is to do to get it used again. It's not just the technical equipment, the ventilation and other services presumably haven't been used for over a year

I doubt many productions would want to use the complex, it has been stripped out of equipment, meaning any production needs to refit it with OB units and equipment, a lot of money there. Also, knowing this is for maybe a year at most, the temporary nature of the usage would deter many productions, who might want a permanent home or a regular home.

Have I Got News For You which used TLS is now on the move again - they were using Elstree Studios up to Christmas and in April will be using Studio 1 at Riverside Studios.

It won't necessarily be used as TV studios of course. The 3 large studios could make good space for exhibitions, performance space etc. I couldn't see the council objecting to that

It's not long though. Just over 16 months. Unless someone has had the place in mind for the place already that's not long to come up with a scheme, get the lease and fit out what they need.

If it does get a tenant I could see it more as just a 4-waller filming space than a multi camera TV studio

For TLS as it stands at the moment? You might be able to find some on Google, but don't hold your breath.

The original GA's are part of the ITV Planning application submitted before they sold it.
