With the recent closure of Fountain, Teddington, and TVC (although 3 studios will reopen) and now this, there is little left of what we had 10 years ago.

Other studios which have closed in the last few years are Capital studios in Wandsworth and MTV studios in Camden. Riverside Studios is also currently closed for redevelopment.

You mean the Tv-am eggs are gone for good? Don't all the music channels come from there?

They can be seen in this 2016 street view image (and a better view in this 2013 canalside one)

It's speculated the eggs may be protected, though some people say the rest of the building is listed too. I don't think this is the case though but I'm sure Viacom don't have (or have never had) anything to do with the eggs they've "inherited" and are probably just waiting for them to fall off naturally - they were originally yellow I seem to recall but the yellow paint's been weathered away leaving them white.

I seem to recall reading somewhere the music channels and the other Viacom channels don't come from Camden Lock now but have been moved somewhere else.

They painted them grey the other year, I work in Camden and was watching it with delight (initially thought the workmen were removing them!)

The actual content for the music channels has been produced by Remedy Productions' small studios in Ladbrook Grove for well over five years now, possibly much longer.

The Viacom channels (except C5) are still played out from the TVAM building, it's only the large production studios which were closed down. There is one remaining very small studio which is used for C5's Milkshake and the Health Lottery draw, and occasionally other things. All other studio based content, such as hosted chart shows for the music channels, is done by Remedy Productions.

The back of the building falls within a conservation zone so the eggs remain. They are sometimes given a clean to remove all the bird muck, but not very often.

Here's an even newer picture, from when I walked past it six months ago...

There's a vegan café which overlooks the eggcups, where I deliberately had breakfast that day just so I could see the eggcups. Seems to rather rub it in to the vegans eating there, mind.
