Sad day today at ITV Towers as the canteen, post room and workplace services closed as all staff have now moved to new offices leaving the building empty.

However, it turns out that after only just finishing moving everyone out of the Tower to decommission it, now around 200 of the staff who moved out will soon be moving back into the Tower for a couple of months while their new office space at Grays Inn Road is refurbed so maybe delaying the planned demolition date.

Not the most organised leaving plan is it?

Where did you get this information from? AIUI, all moves will complete this Monday 2nd July (ITVS Music Services & Programme Compliance had their last day in the tower on Friday and will go over to Waterhouse Square).

The refresh of office space at Grays Inn Road is largely completed - Group Marketing and Breakfast Sales being the last to move over in April. The final refresh work is due to be finished by the end of the year.

The Southbank Tower is now permanently closed, whilst strip-out and decommissioning take place. No staff will be working from there anymore.

The ITV staff involved in the technical strip out will obviously still be there, but I obviously get your wider point.

The thing about GIR staff moving into the southbank tower while some of GIR is renovated is true. The move is happening this weekend. It's not the same staff that left tho.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned but a since deleted press release seems to suggest they were going to mark the closing of the studios with a special programme...

I think it was mentioned on here a while ago that Ant & Dec would be recording a programme about the London Studios.

Has that been shelved due to the frailties of Mr McPartlin, or was the notion of making such a programme dropped irrespective of presenter(s)?

When typed into google the name of the show....

"Hosted by Dermot O'Leary, the programme will takes viewers on a trip down memory lane, revisiting some of the best-loved shows filmed at the famous studios ..."

That's dated 2nd July 2018, so looks like they were planning something until quite recently.

I was under the impression that there was a "Goodbye Granadaland" type special scheduled for the Autumn.
