So many great videos on Vimeo, just found this one

http://vimeo.com/57710187

features yet more unseen ITV idents, plus Pugwash ident with slightly different music (nothing to get excited about), and a new ITV2 ident (swimming pool).

The video is mainly about the music which was produced for the various idents, so some of it sounds quite mixed up,

Wow, there's so many great idents that haven't been aired yet. I wonder if they ever will be aired or if they just didn't make the cut ever. It's a shame if they don't. They reuse the same ones so much like candy floss and morning mums. It's a shame because they are very bland compared to some of these unseen ones.

Unless they will give each lot several months each, or slowly introduce new ones as they have been doing with beach and bunny and chicks (ok I know the last two were easter idents) so I'm guessing the sheep one will come in a couple of months, and the leaves one we've seen will come in autumn etc. It would be nice to see some more upbeat bright ones suitable for entertainment shows, I just don't think bus bunny and takeaway are suitable for entertainment shows, yet they keep using them. The music in them is too sombre!

Slightly on a tangent here.. Is there something that has changed recently meaning all programmes on ITV now need to show itv.com, stv.tv, and u.tv website addresses?

I'm sure it never used to be like this but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere!

You should probably try and read this thread then.

Oh sorry Jon, I don't really have enough time to traipse through 69 pages of text to find the answer to a simple question. Rolling Eyes

Well the implication was you'd done a lot of looking.

Anyway, I think we've come to the conclusion as all three companies pay for the programmes they have agreed to use all the web addresses. Same reason there is an attempt to stop Scots from viewing ITV Player rather than STV Player, and visa versa for English people.

When will this get renamed to the General ITV thread?

I've notice there is a now comedy on this evening with Cannon and ball...

Quote:
The Security Men ITV from 9:00pm to 10:00pm
One-off comedy drama written by Caroline Aherne and Jeff Pope. The Whittington Mall is closed but the guards on the night shift have big plans to skive off and watch the boxing on TV. They get into an electrical shop with a skeleton key but the plan goes horribly wrong when their boss Kenneth rumbles them. While they have been cheering Amir Khan on the widescreen, the mall has been robbed, and with everything recorded on the security cameras, there is only one thing to be done. Duckers, Jimmy and Ray must rewind the tapes and re-stage the robbery, making themselves out to be heroes. Can they get away with it when a police officer comes to take a look? With Peter Wight, Bobby Ball, Brendan O'Carroll, Dean Andrews, and Paddy McGuinness.

it seems to remind me of Plaza Patrol

Well as your post isn't really about the presentational rebranding of ITV, perhaps you could have started a new one such as 'ITV Programming 2013'.

Just a thought.

We had this debate four years ago and it ended up Asa just renaming the last thread.

Without wishing to really throw this thread off course, I remember the discussions of just a month or so back when it was concluded that it was better to start a new, more relevant topic to a discussion, rather than trying to cram everything into one long unwieldly thread that will, in time, deviate significantly from its original intent.

So the rebranding discussion which is still relevant can be in one topic, whilst programming discussion can be in another, surely?
