Not sure why this has only just come into my mind now, but what I miss with the new idents compared to the last lot, is colour.
The ident used just now before the second part of This Morning was the elderly couple dancing in their home, ok it's a nice ident, but colour wise it is so dull. I miss the brightness of the old Market ident or Bubbles ident or Sunflowers ident used before This Morning. Ok the music in most of them was annoying, but the idents used to cheer me up, but many of these new ones are dark and dull (apart from a few). Ok they suit evening programmes and early morning programmes (daybreak), but the duller of the idents don't work before This Morning on such a bright and beautiful day like today.
I hope they end up introducing more bright and colourful idents, hopefully they will with spring coming up.

I'm sure I read somewhere (maybe on here) that the idents will change to suit the season, so in the Spring or Summer we'll see more brighter idents.
I'm sure one of the ident ideas during development was blades of grass with the logo colour picked over it, that looked quite summery so maybe we'll see something like that.

I agree the new style no longer has that same splash of colour through the set on the whole, but it's not true that all the idents are visually muted or lacking in colour - Tumble Dryer, Seamstresses and Hot Air Balloon look vibrant.
And to add, I do think this look relies more on selecting the right ident for time and type of day.

There was (I believe) a new ident before The Brits started, with green lasers sweeping across a partying crowd.

That's the problem with having the number of idents they have, and them not being used equally - it means there are idents I see all the time, and others I never see.

How is that a problem - surely it's a benefit that they'll be idents which are fresh months down the line because they've got plenty to choose from and not the same 6-12 in constant rotation. And to be honest whether a channel has six or sixty idents there always seems to be ones which get far more regular outings thant the others.
