The intro on the Channel page states that the national ITV idents are used. But if you didn't understand that, then I will need to re-write it as others may make a similar mistake.

I know its off topic but, should their be a new ITV Disscussion Thread?

It's been quite clear in closing the other one there is no need for one at present. This thread is currently doing it's job, and once someone has something ITV related to say that isn't related to the rebrand (and isn't just for the sake of starting a generic thread) I'm sure it'll be posted and then we'll see how it goes from there.
Not all idents are colour matcher - I believe some have an ITV logo with a colour scheme, I know there are orange/red-ish logos and deep blue/black ones with other colours in between.

Care to point to any examples?
I believe you are not understanding how the mechanics of the colour picking actually work. The colour points of reference within the frame may be quite offset from the physical components of the logo - both in distance and, crucially, time.
I should probably reword my post. I believe they have idents that have a colour-picking logo, plus idents that have a logo with a set colour scheme, that may be totally unrelated to the ident.

Again, care to point to an example? Out of the 26 or so idents I've seen so far, none are like how you describe.
I know that they are used on promos, and in one of the articles (can't remember what one?!) said that only some idents use the colour picking, others use the 'colour scheme' ones and others use the main ITV logo.
So, your comment "not all [other] idents are colour matcher (sic)" is twaddle then?

On the Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway promo, there is a quick 'glimpse' at the outside of The London Studios. I
think
it is now known as ITV Studios as it says this at the entrance.
