Incorrect, its 16:9 safe but all of them are within the title safe area now, rather than action.

Ah..well before on my telly they were at the edge, just about saw the "I". But it was fine on HD.

All of the break bumpers now are different colours on the 'itv' and they seem to colour blend to the next advert. Nice touch.

Would be quite nice if they followed Channel 5's approach by using the break bumper in between every advert.

They have moved in a bit, for a while I had been watching tv+1, tv2, tv3 (not from Ireland) and tv4 as well as their time shifts.

I like that idea, with every ident coloured to match the next advert

I honestly can say I HATE that with a passion. You don't need the bumpers after every commercial, only at beginning and the end. It very annoying when fast forwarding as well!!!

When I was a kid, Westward TV showed the rotating hexagon (i.e. break bumper or break spacer) just before the first advert in a break, and between every advert thereafter.

So Channel 5 aren't the first broadcaster to put a break bumper between every advert.

Didn't Rediffusion do the same with their star?
