The snowy ident looks good. There are supposed to be different batches of idents for each of the seasons, but you have to wonder if ultimately they'll settle on a core group of idents.

Haven't seen much of the multi-channels are the ECP's all in the same format ?

The new ECP is pointless, although it looks nice. There's too much wasted space and whats the point of shrinking the credits just to show a still image of show? At least have video or something...

Is there not programme idents, seasonal idents, plus Christmas ones, general ones like Lifeboat or Pug? Are there any others?

I don't mind still images, it's a bit retro. Much underused these days.

I am struggling with the loud Geordie sounding announcer that has been on most evenings. Hoping for Jim Davis to do his Saturday evening shift tonight

Indeed, if any negatives had to come out of this rebrand, the continuity announcers are one of the main ones for me.

It's as if they've just waved a microphone in someone's face in the MetroCentre and asked them to introduce Corrie.

ITV need to realise that their main competitor is BBC1, whos still employ relatively traditional announcers, although some like to be a bit wacky (in a very BBC definition of wacky) from time to time. The geordie bloke might fit in on ITV2, ITV4, BBC Three, E4 etc, but not on the main ITV.

It seems to be part of a general approach to make ITV feel warmer and more inclusive, hence the more relaxed announcers on the main channel. The ITV twitter account is also a lot more interactive post-rebrand.

itv4 video coverage of the ACoN is the official international feed. A very discrete small itvSport solid white on green DOG on the top right of the screen out of the 4:3 safe area has been superimposed onto it.

A shame that ITV4's stream on DTT is crap.

What you've failed to mention is, that DOG appears to be at the expense of ITV 4 DOG.

The ITV Sport DOG inspired by the BBC Sport logo.

The images seem to be stills of the show though. There was one of Phil and Holly laughing for This Morning the other day. It just looked daft to me. Perhaps use a more generic photo, like a publicity shot of them both, or an image like at the top of the This Morning titles...

Call me boring but..

The '1' jar could be profitable, what with Sian Lloyd telling viewers she'll keep ITV 1 viewers posted, re snow situation. I'm not sure I've heard any other slip ups...

Nina Hossain did the other day but cant remember if it was on Lunchtime News or London news.

Notice itv.com remaining on the credits of Great Night Out last night, so that's one very minor thing that they've missed in the revamp. I'm guessing though any repeats from the previous era will keep the web address on, and I suspect the only reason they've been dumped is because of the ridiculous practice in the last couple of years of also having the STV and UTV address on there.

And Paddy's TV Guide on C4 last night had the ITV Studios over a blue background which looked rather good - certainly better than the boxed version used on Countdown.
