Not a bad effort at all, although I disagree about it being 'the most significant relaunch in ITV's history' - surely that title will always belong to the efforts of October 2002? Hopefully also this time they won't leave bits of pres in use for 7 years without a refresh.
With regional news, I suppose the regional programme name no longer being dominant, and the dropping of region-specific news brands and programme names was always going to happen, but I find it very odd that amongst a sea of 'ITV News + Region Name' programme titles, instead of 'ITV News Yorkshire' we have 'ITV News Calendar'. Calendar survives whilst everything else gets killed off? Weird, just weird.
Not too happy either that they acknowledge 'Border and 'Tyne Tees' as separate regions but Westcountry has become 'West Country (West)' and HTV West is now 'West Country (East)'. So the 'West' region is now called 'East' for news purposes? Utter Madness.
But then, this is from the same broadcaster which went for a complete revamp of all news output a few years ago but for some reason saw fit to introduce brand new regional titles still featuring the theme from 2004...
All in all though I have to admit that the rebrand is way, way better than I expected. Now if only they actually had something on that I wanted to watch...

If you're talking about the NTA trailer, I heard ITV twice, but not ITV1.
Did he just say ITV1? Pound in the swear box....

One thing I'm glad to see the back of is the Shatliffed subtitles caption. Why that was never fixed, I've no idea.

A shame they didn't just use the backgrounds from the old ones. Indeed if all we're doing now is having them shrink to a quarter screen there is no reason why credits need to remain standardised - as long as they're readable let shows do what they want with them - and let's face it, a 1/4 of most TVs today is probably as big as most TV were back in the 90s were anyway.
Seen a bit more of ITV4's now and changed my mind a bit - they seem quite fun and actually represent the channel well. Loving the ITV3 set too - according to the "rebrand in a nutshell" vid they were hand crafted.
Soap credits now the same as all other show credits, boring black and white
