Why are ITV putting big film premieres on ITV2?

I'm sure the 20 minutes of Thor I suffered makes my opinion valid.

Sweeping statements aside though just like when TV over relies on anything you basically divide the audience into those who like and those who don't - and reactions to screening yet another Marvel film or yet another Harry Potter film will be pretty much down to pre-conceptions.

I think Marvel premieres are with ITV these days. They don't rate that well anyway.
Dr. Strange with Benedict Cumberbatch didn't break 3m iirc with a primetime slot on ITV after Corrie.

Paddington 2 and the Darkest hour were the last 2 films to impress ratings wise.

Well, there's your problem if it was the first or second one. Most fans of the series rank them near the bottom in lists.

Yeah, popular consensus is that Thor: The Dark World is the worst Marvel film - it's telling that Thor: Ragnarok was a major retool.
