It’s come a long way since Sam Fox, Mick Fleetwood and Norman Lamont, by all accounts.

Ah. Memories.

Our telly crashed into the programme after exiting Netflix. There was a totally out of depth Jack Whitehall attempting to interview that bloke from One Dimension, who seemed to be badly affected by some form of mind altering drug. I'm sure the 60 seconds worth seen was all out of context.

I thought Jack was generally pretty good last night.

It's a thankless task really.

Fair point, if there's another South Korean entertainment format that is catching light with local versions at various points around the globe - but, I think The King Of The Masked Singers, IS the only South Korean format doing business at format sales conventions.

Leaping in with an untried overseas format, during your most lucrative point of your revenue from advertising slots, is very risky.

Plus, it also smacks of the Deal Or No Deal creator trap here.
One idea, one format, quick conversion for local production, big budget in a big studio, or low daytime budge in a converted warehouse in Bristol, takes off, popular with audiences.

"So, what other format ideas do you have?" "A show where a couple win a set amount for 10 or 20 years. Great, lets have 20 episodes. It can't fail - its from the Deal or no Deal creator"

And you end up with a boring mess like 'For The Rest Of Your Life/Set For Life"

I'd start watching News at Ten again for that. Very Happy

Maybe they should bring in a South Korean version of X Factor and buy the rights from... ahem... Psy-co.

...

Oh shut up.

They already have talent shows like that for major companies in K-Pop such as SM Entertainment and YG.
It's like audition shows and the winners get put in a band for the label. The contestants are trainees that have worked 4 or more years to prepare themselves for becoming the next K-Pop star.

So really, it's quite "manufactured" to say the least, but they are quite talented.
