There's a rare 1 hour primetime regional programme on ITV Wales this evening.

Programmes like this would normally be split into a 2 part series, so it's good to see they've been allowed to opt out like this and show it as a single programme.

DOCUMENTARY: Charles: 50 Years a Prince
On: HTV Wales (HTV Wales)
Date: Thursday 26th September 2019 (starting in 1 hour and 57 minutes)
Time: 21:00 to 22:00 (1 hour long)

Fifty years ago in Caernarfon at his investiture, Prince Charles embarked on a unique relationship with a country that has shaped his life and work. While acknowledging a sometimes troubled and turbulent history, this documentary celebrates Wales through the eyes of a prince who has made the role his own. Narrated by Luke Evans.
(New Series, Widescreen, Subtitles)

Director: Marion Milne
Starring: Luke Evans, Marion Milne, Sian Price, Andy Collinson

A wonderful idea for ITV tonight during BGT - The Champions were a part of a show and a whole ad break went silent so people can talk to family members about their mental health.
The Tuesday 6-9 Show With Michael

Every Tuesday

(Hopefully) on Burnley College Radio.

Nice idea but felt a bit too forced to encourage natural conversation during the pause within the show.

Anyway, ITV have been giving viewers ample opportunity to turn off the TV and have a chat for years.
I preferred the internet when it had a sense of humour.

Well the silence was certainly broken in my household by our howls of laughter at how utterly cringeworthy the BGT minute of silence was, and then more-so for the unbearable advert break. Not sure I'd ever lump Dunelm and Oral B as two of "Britain's best-loved brands"

I support the ultimate cause but this campaign is Day Of Promise levels of stupid.

Bit awkward if you’re watching TV alone... in fact it seems to have the adverse effect and make you feel lonelier... Shocked

AND it feels like a bloody oneness ad break!

Interesting regional opt tonight - ITV West/West Country are opting out of the Trevor McDonald documentary after the news for a locally produced documentary on the same subject (the murder investigation that the drama "A Confession" is based on. That's only half an hour in an hour slot, so it's followed by a Coast & Country filler.
Write that down in your copybook now.

Rumours in the Mirror tonight that Simon Cowell has pulled the plug on Britain's Got More Talent and will become online only from next year, rather surprised by the news as the show was doing really well in the overnights hitting around 700k sometimes hitting 1 million and being one of the biggest shows on ITV2. Stephen Mulhern also does an excellent job and I like the laid back feel and getting the crew involved and sometimes is better than the main show, for me it would be a big mistake.
