Surprised it lasted this long really, and no surprise in the wake of his BBC suspension last year. Zoe Ball is a good signing though and that should bring in a younger audience.

So its 23 weeks? When will it start? It has to be within the next month because I doubt it will it will roll into October.
Weekend usually aired in one block from April to September. I guess Zoe's show will following the same time pattern. It sounds like the same show with new title and host.

It can’t run any later than Sept due to her five day a week commitment to ITT plus Saturday afternoon Radio 2 show otherwise she’d be working seven days a week.
I suppose 'Weekend' targeted an audience underserved at 8:30 on a weekend morning by the other big players, a light programme with chat & features. It was a good production.
Presumably they wanted to revive the idea but with a change. I imagine that it will be similar in vein to 'weekend', pre recorded during the week with guests, review features and musical performances.

I doubt it is live and ITT films only three days a week anyway with Tue and Thu pre-recorded.
