Can't see many people forking out for this, also more stupidly that every ITV channel is available on TV Catchup and there's far less faffing about with that app.

Though isn't TV Catchup now on borrowed time after a recent court ruling - or have things moved on.

(ISTR their argument that they were a form of cable TV was not accepted)

TV Catchup only shows live TV now, and only channels that are otherwise FTA anyway. The name is a bit misleading.

Did TV Catch Up ever show anything other than live TV, I've known of it for a few years and it's always just streamed channels.

So I don't think the recent court ruling has anything to do with it offering catch up.

You used to be able to record programmes from the Freeview channels. It was basically Freeview+ online.

I really don't know too much about tv gameshows , but is there a different version of these shows for different countries from around the world? , and if so who owns the rights to the shows , format etc? , and who created the chase and does one production company own all of them? , I'm quite confused here Embarassed

Thanks:)

Well for example, every international version of The Weakest Link carried the BBC logo during the credits. But I would think that they would have their own production company. But the BBC own the Weakest Link.

And Wheel of Fortune UK, during the credits, its 'Based on Wheel of Fortune, distributed by Sony Pictures'. So I'm guessing then that the USA would own that.

But I could be totally and utterly wrong...

I noticed that the ITV logo didn't appear during the loose women titles today.

But there's nothing wrong with that post, he's right, the BBC own The Weakest Link, and Sony do own Wheel of Fortune - though the UK show's credit was probably actually Columbia Tristar, a Sony subsidiary which creators Merv Griffin Enterprises was folded into in 1994.

Well the United States of America don't own Wheel of Fortune.

But STV do own the right to the wheel in UK
