Scotland is unique as their school year starts in mid August but finishes in June.

Certain areas are off this week, some where off last week and some have both off, that 32 different councils for you.

It must be a pain for CITV channel

Must be - they won't know which weeks to schedule childrens programmes!

What about the preschool programmes which get replaced?

I just saw an ad for something in the break after Coronation Street. I thought "That's clever, whoever's made this ad clearly has a love of TV because they've done a really accurate job of recreating a bottom-drawer lowest-common-denominator gameshow. They've even made it look like it was shot with early 90s SD cameras."

And then I realised IT WAS REAL. Shocked

Can we have a facepalm smiley added, please?

It does look really bad, I'm surprised even Stephen Mulhern agreed to it.

It is bad. Sounded interesting, saw up to the first ad break and went away to wash my eyes out with soap. It's essentially Take Me Out meets Catchphrase meets Jeremy Kyle. Cheap and tacky typical ITV of old fare, the sort of stuff they stopped doing in the 1980s.

It's not great. Especially as they repeat the same round with different people at least 5 or 6 times just with different people. Though it's very ironic that Roy Walker does the voiceover on that show, he should really be doing the VO for Catchphrase!

I approach any show with an exclamation mark in the title with extreme caution.

ITV are to broadcast a live adaptation of The Sound of Music on Christmas Day.

Someone on DS is claiming to know someone working on it who's said they're definitely not working on Christmas Day so it looks like this will actually be broadcast on the run up to Christmas.

This has been in development hell at ITV for a long time. They had originally hoped to do it this Easter.

'Scary' Jekyll and Hyde attracts hundreds of complaints

I haven't seen it, but I've seen the trailer, and just from that I thought that 18:30 was too early.
