Has anyone ever thought what's the point of Who wants to be a millionaire on ITV1 and ITV2 at the same time. Why cant it be interactive on ITV1

When we got the ITV Sport Channel free in October I watched The Goal Rush which was taking the ITV2 feed!!! So people pay £ 6.99 a month and on the saturday afternoon there paying to watch ITV2. What is the point of that?!!! Also from 4.20pm the same programme is on all ITV Stations! How pathetic is that.
If you ask me The Goal Rush should be on ITV1 from 2.30pm

Finally what was the point a couple of weeks ago when the Liverpool game was on ITV1 on a tuesday what was the point (again) of that being on ITV Sport Plus! So again you are paying 6.99 to watch ITV1.

Get yourself together ITV!

They are trying to raise the profile of ITV2 - the channel has just had a re-vamp.  Using a popular programme which gets 10m+ viewers, it is a great platform to get people to know about ITV2.

Everyone knows what ITV1 is about.  Similarly, a lot of terrestiral viewers would get peed off with the constant 'if you are watching from a digial TV, press red to commence' (or whatever it is).

Again, ITV1 is promoting ITV2 by having the first part of the Goal Rush on their second channel.  As for the ITV Sport Channel, it makes sense to take up the ITV2 feed to show the Goal Rush because it is cheaper than a separate production.

Remember, the BBC does this (nearly) every night with News 24!

People pay £6.99 for live Champions League, Nationwide League & Worthington Cup. The ITV Sport Channel isn't on 24 hours anyway, so they put the Goal Rush on there because it's a sports programme after all.

Only the last 40 minutes of The Goal Rush and Who Want's to be a Millionaire (for interactive) are simulcast although the Goal Rush hasn't been showing on ITV1 for the past 3 weeks due to the rugby. Seems reasonable to me, and I pay the £6.99 for the ITV Sport Channel !
