That's because the main problems due to the strike will be the live programming which affect ITV on Saturdays. On Friday's, you don't really see much live material on ITV except the likes of This Morning which was cancelled due to the Pope's funeral and would have been cancelled strike or no strike and the news which is fed by ITN for the national broadcasts and does not affect the strike.


Also anything important can be covered by freelance or non-union staff. The Transmission areas could even run by themselves with no human contact if they needed to.

That article a few pages back says that Parkinson had to be moved to a different studio due to the recording of Ant and Dec. So where is it usually filmed? Studio 1?
The set seems a bit small compared to the usual Studio 1 big productions
