With a comment like that, Digital Spy is next door...
As far as I'm aware that didn't contravene any forum rules.
It was just a crap post.
Unfortunately, it was never meant to be post of the year, just an opinion.
I can't believe they've still not sorted it out. ITV, more like Sh*teTV.

He's clearly renamed it Vagina - whether it was after the problems started, or before is another matter.
No ITV, ITV+1 or ITV2 on Wrekin
Not sure how genuine this is:

Didn't the same thing not happen only a few months ago at teatime one week night.
Heads will be rolling. I hope ITV claim compensation from the transmission supplier as besides the lost revenue, the majority of viewers think the whole transmission chain from the studio to your TV is in their control, so they get all the flak and lost goodwill as well.

But not the cause of the problem right?

Could there be a strange situation where Granada HD is actually done from the Southern centre and hence why it was not effected. The fact that there is less HD regions, and having them all together on one site means I wouldn't rule this out.
ITV HD is on a shared MUX with the BBC and C4, I'm pretty sure they are all encoded and MUX'd at the same place... and it's not the same company that does the SD mux

I had to add "it must be awful for them" when that was said a few times on HD
An apology to "viewers in the North" over the end credits of The X Factor.

That's right. Granada and Central ITV HD variants are sent to the BBC's coding centres, for inclusion on the relevant transmitters for PSB 3 (aka the HD mux). C4 SD and its siblings I think undergo an initial stage of emission coding in London, before being sent to Leeds, Glasgow, and Belfast, so this failure would seem to be upstream of the point where they (C4) are combined with ITV (and 5). I think that ITV, C4, and 5 all have fixed bit rate allocations within PSB 2, but the ITV and C4 groups are stat muxed within those fixed blocks ?

There were no such problems in the southern area. It's believed the problems in the North continued through I'm a Celeb as well.
