If you are suggesting there is a pattern to how often ITV News gets a new look, then it was due years ago.
There isn’t a pattern, as many say it’s a very strong look at the moment that hasn’t aged at all, and of course their main competitor hasn’t changed their look for a long time either.

ITV News will get a slight refresh. ITN usually refresh graphics and presentation every five or six years, so 2019 would be the right time, especially if there is a new ITV logo. I am not saying there will be any big changes to the look, but things will get a fresh feel. Better newsroom backdrop, new lighting, otherwise the rest will remain, as it has been said, one of the advantages of green screen is you can do what you like.

They don't usually refresh graphics/presentation every five or six years.
Where is this information from or are you just making it up? If you're making it up then all you are doing is fuelling the fire of nonsense speculation when we have very little idea of what will happen.

A lot of your posts seem to consist of you saying what you think might happen but presenting it as if it WILL happen. This isn't the first time you've decided that ITV News will get tweaked because you think that there's some rule that they must do something every five or six years.
That's despite the fact that the yellow car park look lasted just over three years, the London skyline look less than two years (only around nine months across all bulletins, with News at Ten having the view for an extra year or so), the atrium view about three years and the yellow and blue squares just under two years (yes, both used what may have been an identical set but with a significantly different on-screen look otherwise). To be fair, the last proper physical set ITV News had from back in 1999 did survive just under five years with only relatively minor changes, and then beyond that you're into old school ITN territory which I don't know much about. Either way, your half baked theories are ridiculous.

Thank you, I with that I think it is time I left this forum. It seems I can not express my opinions and my views on here. These forums are a true minefield. Very easy it sit in front of a computer and act the big guy, I was trying to express my views, my experiences, my opinions, and it seems that is not allowed on here. What a shame.

Does anyone know of when the new look of ITV will be appearing on screen? New Year's Day or later in January 2019? I have not heard anything about a refresh. Where did the refresh rumours come from? Cheers.

No, that's an opinion implied as a statement of fact. You need to know the difference otherwise people will get miffed about it.
Also, I don't want to do the 'close the thread until we have anything confirmed' post so let's try and keep the meta talk to a minimum.
The news itself is quite exciting. Anything that's channelling 'BBC2 Lambie-Nairn era' is a winner for me. Hopefully the ITV Creative team are on the case, they've proven themselves over the last few years with a great body of work. I'll even forgive them the giant endboards. If I have just one request, please say we're losing the 'funeral' end credits style.
UTV will be interesting, it'll be the first refresh since ownership so would be a understandable time to do it.
I'm looking forward to it (hopefully) showing BBC One up for the embarrassment it is.

You weren't expressing a "view." The language you used in your post was very much in the realms of "fact" - your first sentance was "ITV News will get a slight refresh."
The reality is that you don't know this, so you shouldn't write as if you do know.
Anyway, it'll be interesting to see what tweaks ITV make. Their main channel is the core brand, as it were. With the "cut out" suggestion, it makes me think of an Encore style look, with a more 3D logo. Of course, just speculation though!
With Channel 4, BBC Two and now ITV, we've definitely been spolied over the past couple of months.

Opinions don't begin with "will" - and inventing possible changes and ideas that are plainly not going to happen (either based on what we know or what forum insiders can share with us) is just going to mislead people.

No set date that I've seen, but if anything ITV had rebrands in the middle of January in 2006 and 2013. I'd guess at Monday 14 January, but don't write it into your diaries.

When is ITV Daytime back to normal in the new year? Possibly a good assumptive date to go with.
