This thread is going well. A refresh of ITV presentation is suggested & this thread has already replaced the announcers, rebranded the news, changed the channel name and brought back the regions.
This must be peak TV Forum.
By January this thread will be 50 pages long and there will be an expectation of everything changing across all ITV's channels, the news, the weather etc etc
Then there will be a very minor tweak and loads of people will start moaning that it's all a let down.
I won't moan about it, really. I wouldn't really care if it's major or minor
These people overreact to things too much...

You took the words right out of my mouth, Square...
And to end any further speculation:
- News is not getting a refresh (as far as I know)
- ITV1 is not coming back on-screen (ITV1 is referenced internally to differentiate between the network channels)
- Patience is a virtue
Brb, going to the Southbank for a... Oh. Never mind.
The news would need to be graphically aligned but it’s green screen so easily done and the rest is pie in the sky really. The removal of the name utv is an interesting polical conumdrm if it’s to be done and looking at it , a suggestion that change with that is on the way and the current set up was only ever temporary. When the current look launched itv said it would last 6 years which is seemingly true.according to another tv forum bbc 1 and 2 are getting dogs on New Year’s Day as well, so everyone will then have one at sometime during a programme
ITV News will get a slight refresh. ITN usually refresh graphics and presentation every five or six years, so 2019 would be the right time, especially if there is a new ITV logo. I am not saying there will be any big changes to the look, but things will get a fresh feel. Better newsroom backdrop, new lighting, otherwise the rest will remain, as it has been said, one of the advantages of green screen is you can do what you like.
