I've always said that TVS would have gone bankrupt if they had survived the franchise round.

The same thing was confidently predicted about GMTV and some of the other high-bidders.

TVS would have been quickly bought up and its levy (or whatever it's called these days) renegotiated.

TVS, TSW & TVAM, What has happened to these 3 since they lost their franchise. Thames is still proudcing programmes & is thankfully still doing well but what about the other three? When did they also last appear on screen with a new programme, I knwo TVAM's last programme would have been 31st dec 1992 but what about the other two?

Well TV-am closed (obviously) and handed over their archive to Moving Image Communications. Where as TSW apparently merged with some company to become the UK Safety Group. Though their archive was donated to The South West Film and Television Archive which apparently was set up by TSW. The plan for TVS was for it to continue with Independent Productions like Thames, but it never got off the ground due to the severe financial troubles. They apparently sold off to The Family Channel, which has MTM included, which went to Murdoch and now Disney. Correct me if I am wrong.

Do they still use the TVS logo at the end of programmes. I know The Ruth Rendell Mysteries was on Channel 5 a couple of years back & some has the TVS logo attached & some didn't Scratch Head

Now there I don't know. In the late 1990's when TCC repeated Art Attack they kept the 'TVS Production for ITV' endcap on them, same when Challenege TV repeated Catchphrase. But when Disney show an old Art Attack now, they either have no endcap or a 'Distributed by Buena Vista' endcap.

Ah yes, I'd forgotten that one. The thread which was suppose to be about Saban taking over ITV, but ended up being an in depth discussion into the Power Rangers! Very Happy
