And of course if Thames or even TVS survived into the time when they could merge with other ITV companies, they would have been just as predatory towards their colleagues

I've always said that TVS would have gone bankrupt if they had survived the franchise round.

For some reason earlier there was a motor programme on ITV1 which had the ITV Central endcap, normally for Midlands use only.

well pulling power is a central regional programme, hosted by ex-central news anchor michelle newman and a man with a lisp (all-be-it a co production, i think with either westcountry or london). not sure why its appeared on the network.

i wonder if central will go back and put a central endcap on the end of all the morse episodes, which carlton credited themselves with in recent years (and yes, i mean the ones produced prior to carlton uk productions taking over).

Which endcap did ITV1 show at the end of tonight's edition of Inspector Morse?

It was the 2002 Carlton endcap, but with half of it credited to Zenith. ie It had the huge yellow Z on the screen.

But I think they had a cheek by crediting as '(C) Carlton Television 1992

Though it had the new end credits, not the original ones.

Is this the new Granada Logo or is it just for Granada Visuals?

I don't know, but I haven't seen that logo before. The text says 'Granada' so it could well be the overall logo for the Granada (ie content/production) division of ITV plc

I think ' An ITV Production' should be used for all made ITV productions for the ITV network, and Granada only used for programmes for other channels, because it makes the ITV brand a bit neater if you know what I mean. And why is ITV plc allowed to trade under Granada, when the both companies merged, i thought that they should only be allowed to use the ITV name now, as that is their name, makes more sense anyway, than to continue to use old brands now.

There was a new endcap I've not seen before used on Granada's "Sunday Supplement" and it said "ITV Granada" in the style of the old ITV News logo, and beneath it "An ITV production".

That endcap is used on a lot of Granada Local programmes including Stand Up Jenny on Thursday's and Sex and the Village on Fridays.

The same thing was confidently predicted about GMTV and some of the other high-bidders.

TVS would have been quickly bought up and its levy (or whatever it's called these days) renegotiated.
