I'd agree there, when QM first started I got a taste for live TV through the night - back then it was supposedly more entertaining and they'd have a banter with the viewers but now the utter bullsh*te that comes out of each "presenter's" mouth, the more shows thought up makes me instantly switch off. Its no longer supposed entertaiment - its pure profit desperation and I'm glad its finally getting the axe.
All well and good for those like you who'd like to see a return to such times, but what about those who don't or can't sleep at night? Are they not entitled to watch something?
A DVD, perhaps?

The only thing that I've always liked about the ITV Play programmes is the fact that its live TV through the night, even though I prefered Quizmania to everything else as it was entertaining to watch even when you weren't taking part, its still live, and has offered something different.
Probably the very reason ITV were keen to ditch it, in favour of the robotic "next caller please" approach which has superceded it. Too little hard sell for ITV's liking.

I would Not Mid QM Back if There showed it at 12.30 - 2.30 Weekdays and them showed other shows like Film, Us comedy, top 10 etc
I can only hope these ITV Play quizzes are taken off ITV1 at least, once and for all.
I have no interest in, or sympathy for, these quizzes and the people who devised them and shoved them on the broadcaster's flagship channel respectively.
In my view, Quizmania was merely the best of a bad bunch; and just like the rest I feel it should have never set foot on ITV1.
Goodness knows why but I had
S**tterball
on on Tuesday night last week. It was a word tower looking for things beginning with 'full'. Around six people were put through having said 'full moon', which wasn't on the grid. Why did they take the call when that answer had already be put forward?
Interesting point - if we have to have these quizzes I would like to see them compelled to let callers have as many guesses as it takes until they give an answer that hasn't already been given. But that would mean reduced profits, wouldn't it?

come if there that Stupid to say answers that been said 5 time I dare say their probley come up with another answers that's already been done, its a never ending circler
Well on the subject of ITV Play facing the chop, Tonight's Glitterball has had to finish early at 2.15 as hardly any calls were getting through.
However bravo for whoever thought of the replacement programme! Classic World of Sport under the heading 'ITV Sport Classics' and complete with 1989 ITV logo and World of Sport theme tune!
