ITV Play

It's been rumoured for months, but is still in the schedules for January, expanding to the weekend too.

Then again, so is This Morning Puzzle Book and The Call - both of which quiztelly.com claim to have been axed (if you believe them!). Don't know if this was confirmed on air.


ITV Play has had so many schedule changes in the last few months - the latest addition, Play DJ, is amongst the worst. So amatuerish - they are better off airing Play Along without it. The recorded announcer sounds so much more professional than the live presenter.

Typical - this was the best of the bunch.

The only basis to this rumour is that Greg's site only has dates up to mid Jan

But surely his list of dates has to stop somewhere unless they plan the rota years in advance!

I love the whole attention and outrage these threads have, people obviously forget that this time last year, the only outrage was that Quizmania was being broadcast at all, and that it wasn't being axed

Well you know ITV, somethings popular made by a third party, move it to another channel, still popular cancel it all together

A relatively new forummer posts the link to a thread on DS where someone's heard from a "fairly reliable source"... rumour, hearsay, guesswork etc...

Play DJ is so cheaply put together you can see it on air. It seems to be running off two locked-off cameras, the prizes are so low they give away ever so slightly more than the normal Play Along does, considering that's next to nothing as it is. I dare say the production crew is no more than about, what, a dozen?

QuizMania was tedious to watch last night in the first half hour, as Lee Baldry didn't turn up on time for 10pm, leaving camera operators Ben and David to fill in. Got a bit of rapport going between them, then Producer Stu took over and, well, its no wonder he doesn't present that often, shall we say.

I wondered where the Quizmania thread went

They have had the camera crew on screen a few times, sometimes Flash is on at the same time as Debbie

Looks like ITV Playalong is taking over from 8pm tonight so they don't have to pay people (staff) extra money.

Forgot to add, early this year (round about October) they had one with Kate Lawler & soem random bloke presenting this kind of date programme pure tripe!

Playdate? Saw that being advertised once, is that still running on ITV2/ ITV Play.

Did anyone actually win anything on that one I could only watch for 30 seconds before I stabbed my eyes with a fork

There's always the sense that something's missing whenever Flash isn't there. Who else can wave the giant polar bear around in a threatening manner and actually make it funny for the sixth time? Who else is stupid enough to actually wear the shark's head?

Still at least that silly beaver's gone.
