Why was there a clock on each game yesterday?

I see QM is still having two hosts despite it being on half the length - though I expect they'll drop this next time they do the rotas!

And putting Playdate on at 8pm shows how crap it really is!

I wonder how much the ITV Play channel makes in comparison to the overnight slots on ITV1 (and ITV2). Just judging by the prizes, I'm doubting the channel itself is actually the cash cow ITV were expecting!
Well the old three hour long shows (from 3--6) also had two presenters, so I don't see why the new three hour show would be any different.

Just the way they're doing it now, to keep things fast paced in the shorter time slot.

And to keep as much of the "top answer" money as possible. Wink

I had a bash at sorting out the "new" graphics ... it's annoying me that the clocks and bonuses now don't line up with anything on the left hand side of the screen.

This is close to what they have now, just a bit taller so it doesn't look as messy:

And this is a slightly different idea, to put emphasis on the bonus rounds and stuff:

... hope it's okay to post it here, it doesn't really warrant its own thread in the Mocks forum. Very Happy

That's better. On the first day they had the clock in the top pink bar - looked better really!

What is happening after I'm a Celeb finishes - will the Common Room return?

It's been axed, according to Quiztelly.com. (not surprised really, half an hour of texts can't be making too much money!)

More than two hours of Playdate though, surely!

OK, purely Google research but worth a look:

The slot ITV Play use costs ITV at least £5m a year, with rumoured profits for "ITV Play" - including the overnight ITV1 slot - said to be £20m out of total revenue of £60m.

Based on the level of prizes on the channel compared to the ITV1 broadcasts, I'd question whether the channel actually even covers it's own costs!

What a joke. One of the few shows I liked on ITV play.

ITV Play Along fell off air entirely this afternoon at about 2:15pm when the bonus ball bonanza didn't turn up. After a blank screen came a new game of Izit, passed okay and still no bonus ball bonanza after it.

Cue ten minutes of blank screen, still caption, cheesy breakdown music, copious apologies and awkward filling-in from Nigel Mitchell and the reading out of the "contact us" section of itv.com/play. Followed by a new game of Buzzwords and (now working) bonus ball bonanza with obscenely loud backing music.
