ITV Play

Quizmania meanwhile (the only show on that channel I bother with) has started doing "live emails" like The Mint, and a happy hour every night.

- Every caller (whether selected or not) gets 2 free calls
- The free calls must be used in the same night
- If you withhold your number you do not qualify for free calls

From what I gather there's a freephone number to ring - the famous "computer" obviously knows which phone numbers are entitled to free calls (hence the third rule).

A pretty good idea - Puzzlebook do it too I think, but you only get free calls if you're put through to the studio.

Whats with Quizmania being all obsequious all of a sudden. Previously they'd hardly ever mention the other shows on ITV Play - now they're constantly plugging Make Your Play, PlayDate, Mint, and all the others on a regular occurance?

Maybe a last chance saloon attempt at pleasing some far flung ITV management somewhere before the programme is eventually dropped in December?

I certainly hope it isn't, but I can't understand the sudden need to start promoting every one like mad.

The Mint is apparently giving away the £130k vault money tonight. They have a tower game on... RED______ exactly the same as Quizmania's currently.

At least it combats the problem of people calling the wrong show.

They finally realised that they sold out to ITV and are not the best thing since sliced bread, which was the impression you got on-air from some presenters.

Who is the person currently on ITV Play doing the live voice-over?

It's doing my head in.

Don't know about today, but Quizmania's Nigel Mitchell has been doing the live voiceover lately.

Anyone hear Moyles' show this morning? Brilliant stuff. Chris has been ringing up quiz channels giving stupid answers

Who exactly is having the last laugh here ? Moyles is prepared to run up a bill in an effort to get through, lets hope it's not being funded by our licence fee.

I'm sure he gets paid enough to have done it off his own back.

Oh get over it. If there's one show on BBC Radio I actually take a good bit of entertainment from it's his. Worth the licence fee if you ask me. They should really scrap the licence fee thinking about it - the 'power' of paying it, along with a couple of million others, seems to go to some people's heads. 'We own the BBC'. Technically, yes. Day to day? You wish.
