Does anyone know whether QM is going back to 7 days a week and if or when it is coming back to its natural home - ITV1 to replace the awful The Mint and the other completely fogetable show.

I only watch QM for Greggles now - don't really watch anything else for fear of driving myself insane.

I very much doubt it.

Not now ITV's got a low budget, money grabbing show with very few callers and absoloutely no personality.

Hopefully they'll soon find out that the "boring" approach doesn't work - people will soon start discovering other channels.

Someone at ITV really needs a kick up the arsé, whilst watching a couple of minutes of ITV Playalong this morning, a question came on screen, and it was..... (or near to)

"Which was one of the four original companies on ITV in 1956?

A. London Weekend Television
B. Meridian
C. Granada"

....now we all know that the answer is Granada, but the correct answer according to ITV Play was A, I was just flabbergasted, I don't envy the poor b****r who wasted 75p on a Text....

They just put this question up:

Incidentally I won £5 on "IzIt?" this morning - the first time I played I got through to the bonus ball round and got 2 balls. And I only sent in one text with the full answer in it, so not bad considering I got free credit from my O2 rewards anyway.

In fact it's the first time I've watched it at this time of day, and they have a live voiceover until midday which is quite good, interactive with people texting to the chat box - lots of the questions are ITV related, good way of plugging the shows (So far this morning he's plugged the football on ITV4, Coronation Street, The Mint...)

You have to send 10 texts in to win on the quiz game (it's 60p + network rate).

edit: A question on now is Where is Granada TV's headquarters? Cardiff, Plymouth or Manchester.

"Which programme runs from 22.59 - 23.00 weekday nights on ITV London?
A London Weather
B London News
C London Sport"

The red highlight for the right answer isn't working on this quiz.

A clear case of one hand not knowing what the other is doing.
So the network spends the best part of the last four years calling itself "ITV1 London", parading the "no regional names" charade and then go and stick that on ITV Play?

Last time I caught the Bonus Ball Bonanza, they'd changed the rules so you could only win if you match with four balls. Most other channels who use this quiz system seem to do this as well.

Anyway, talking of ITV Play, on tomorrow night's QuizMania, there is going to be what's been dubbed as a "Happy Hour" which we will apparently like very much (free phone entry perhaps?). I will be happy if they get rid of the beaver though, as it really wanted to be Gordon the Gopher, only not as interesting and far more irritating.

How long has The Common Room been going out for 30 minutes? Didn't it use to be about 2 hours?

Since Quizmania moved to primetime and This Morning moved to the early evening!

2 hours was too long, but 30 mins is a bit short. If they are going to be extended the This Morning hours I think they'd be wise to bring the Common Room forwards to 6pm for an hour and then have Quizmania from 7pm-1am.

I agree 30 minutes is too short. I had figured the reason for the shorter timeslot was because TCR isn't the most profitable of ITV Play's shows.

They seem to have from today moved this mornings puzzlebook back to 12pm, though it now runs up until 7pm, surely they could at least use an hour from 6 for the common room, making it 90 minutes, I agree 30 minutes is too short.

Surely they should think of updating the puzzlebook's image and set to bring it inline with This Morning's new autumn appearance.

Cheggers is guest hosting The Mint.

Yeah, thats it.. He's obviously been told to over-praise the show however.
