I see the dreaded Make Your Play with the Quizcall rejects is on again... Rolling Eyes

"You'll find us here every single day of the weekend - that'll be Friday, Saturday and Sunday then..." zzzZZZZZ.

Alex Kramer is certainly not a reject! She was the best presenter on Quiz Call, which is now even more dire than ever.

The 'reject' is Ben Baldwin, ITV Play's in-house presenter who also presents This Morning's Puzzle Book weekdays.

I notice that ITV Play are now doing live continuity / commentary during ITV Play A-Long in the daytime, talking through the games and the text messages.

Ouch, I bet the Puzzle Book producers are kicking themselves today... just flicked it on and the first FOUR callers on the "Love ______" tower game all won! Laughing

Not really, they have been making the answers a little bit easier and taking back to back callers in the last few shows. It's a good slot for them on Men and Motors, must be making a lot more than when they were just on ITV Play.

And completly ruining one of the best aspects of ITV Play, where of course you can enter the draw to win £20. All it takes is a few dozen texts at 50p (+message rate) a pop!

I notice ITV Play are now running a How low can you go style reverse auction where you can win a plasma TV

They are advertising it between programmes. A better use for the breaks instead of showing about a dozen ITV trailers that they did before

How is it ruining it ? It's still the same game.

It's bad enough quiz television taking up the afternoon on M&M's, but a show with the This Morning branding is hardly a good fit for the supposedly male audience is it ?

Interesting cockup on QM tonight... they've been swapping the games over so often that nobody noticed "Polo" was covered up again - and given away as a correct answer twice!

I'm sure they'll pay out twice, QM always seems honest, but people are bound to say he had an unfair advantage.

Also, "Skiball" completely failed to appear on the tower when it was supposedly a correct answer - it was the last caller on the game so people will definitely be concerned about rulebreaking behind the scenes tonight! Laughing

EDIT: Beat the presenter now, and you can completely see through Tim's scrap of paper. Why he can't use the printed sheets I've got no idea. Rolling Eyes

So are we all hooked on ITV Play Date then, started last night on ITV2.

It's like a glossy version of Smile TV, but amounts to the same thing.

ITV Play have axed their multiplayer show "Rovers Return Quiz" and from Monday This Morning Puzzle Book returns to its 12 pm slot, however, it will now be extended to a 7 hour slot 12 - 7.

I think ITV should leave stuff like Playdate and let the "professionals" do their job over on channel 37.
