Not 100% sure but I think The Mint is an ITV production, while Quizmania isn't - therefore with The Mint ITV can take more of the profits.

Make your play is made inhouse by ITV Productions, unlike Quizmania or The Mint.
It should be cheaper to run that the latter two quiz shows on ITV1.
