The Mint has now changed its phone number and started charging 75p per call, just like QuizMania. I presume this now only leaves Rovers Return and the ITV Playalong text game that continue to charge 60p a go. Still at least Mint's new number is significantly different to QuizMania's now so in theory people shouldn't now be dialling the wrong number.

Oh I don't know. Getting a phone number right is probably akin to a Mensa challenge for the brain-dead pondlife who watch these channels.

Careful, you'll upset Greggles. Remember you're slagging off the "audience" that QM is "catering for", which to Greggles is like saying to Melanie Phillips that Israel is the biggest threat to middle east stability.

And if you got that reference, I'm glad I'm not the only person who uses the Daily Mail for toilet paper.

To use the Daily Mail as toilet paper would be an insult to my bum-hole.

And when you say "catering for", do you not mean "screwing money out of by taking advantage of their stupidity"?

The shows produced by ITV Productions at Granada Manchester still charge 60p per call, except The Common Room which is an interactive chat show which charges 25p per call.

The Mint and Quizmania charge 75p and are produced by independent production companies.

One hopes they are having to do this because the prize funds are running somewhat low.... Smile

Who does the voice on ITV Playalong? The automated robotic style voice over really annoys me.

oh to go back to the day when there was just QM on overnights on ITV1, no Mint, no ITV Play, classic example of ITV picking up an idea and going overboard.
Which other major network around the world has a dedicated quiz channel?

Specifically the Channel Four Corporation - C4 and Quizcall make no direct reference to each other and Quizcall is carried overnight on Five.

It is still Channel 4 who makes it.

I thought The Mint and was supposed to be for 18 plus?
Last night they read two e-mails out from two 15 year olds and one from a 12 year old. It seems that the Mint is only watched by school children.
