The biggest cheat of a TV channel is SmileTV. Most of the hours are taken up by bloody cheap Quizworld. The Netto of all quiz channels. Rolling Eyes

Is Quizworld also the Audio one that broadcasts on TopUp Active (105?), everytime I put that one on, it seems to be a poor quality audio, probably due to the fact there isn't much space left on the SDN MUX.

I haven't had chance to see Smile TV nor I intend to, though it says alot if they only broadcast between 1.00am and 5.00am on UKTV History's downtime....

That's the one. It also appears as an MHEG on the Topup TV Channels, although audioless. So you see a puzzle, a number and not a lot else.

Apart from The Mint and Quizmania the rest of ITV Play is utter tripe. I cannot stand The Rovers Return pub quiz.. I thought we would be getting quizzes on Coronation Street but no... just the usual boring tower games. Terri Dwyer also drives me mad.

FriendsReunited School Run thingy.. And there we go again... just more money-grabbing nonsense because ITV have partnered with the website.

Arrrrgh! Have I got my angry head on or what tonight! Mad

Everything on ITV Play is utter tripe, don't know how anyone can watch it, all the presenters just comes across as dodgy car salesmen/women as well. If whatever other station got raided for refusing to allow callers on air then I can't see how this is different, can't wait until ITV is hauled through the mud for it. That'll wipe the chubby grin of Mr. Allen's face.

The problem with the Rovers Return Pub Quiz/Quiz Night is that it dominates most of the evening

I think it would be more bearable in smaller chunks. It should finish at around 10pm to be replaced by either The Mint or Quizmania

The constant ladder games are quite annoying, but at least the don't do 'add the numbers'!

Makosi from BB6 is on The Mint later.

The Rovers Quiz would be better if it was a 2 hour show instead of 4h5mins.

The actual pub quiz is only 60 minutes long.

Aside from ITV Play, I notice that Pop the Q (or whatever it is) has started earlier on TMF. They're also trying to work like Quizmania with the whole 'introduce the camera crew' thing.

When is this bubble going to burst. Rolling Eyes

The sooner the better IMO! WHen will OFCOM see sense, its highway robbery, and totaly encouraging gamblers with problems! You wouldnt see this kind of thing around if it was encrouraging to drink alcahol. Anyway, where is ITV play filmed, all the various shows i mean and who makes them?

Well let's see, the Mint is a ludos/etv production from the Maidstone Studios in Kent, Quizmania is a Freemantle Media production from a studio in London, This Morning's Puzzlebook, The Rover's Return Pub Quiz (and possibly Friends Reunited), are from the Granada studios in Manchester.

lol what about all the beer adverts?! - even more prevalent with the world cup going on! All they say is 'enjoy responsibly' - but they could still be taken as encouraging alcoholism if you wanted to think about it that way. Presenters are always saying 'set yourself a limit and don't go over it' for calls to Quizmania - whether people pick up the phone and call thousands of times is no reflection on the show at all...i watch it and don't call in - I just think it's a laugh.
