By scanning through this thread, it looks like ITV Play and it's Mint program is all-round b Shocked llocks, but if they really do intend to launch an ITV Play channel and take over Men and Motors, then I can see tons of complaints being sent, as you have got to admit it is a very popular channel.. I think.

I agree; only a few months ago, ITV News was dropped in favour of M&M!

I can't see ITV Play sustaining 24 hour broadcasting surely.

Ricky Tomlinson is on The Mint tonight.

I saw him live at a theatre in Canterbury earlier as part of his current 'Evening with..' tour. He was introduced by Elton Welsby (of ITV/Granada sports fame).

He slagged of Cilla Black something rotten! Apparently she is very snobbish, and got angry with Ricky after he put his arm round her for a group publicity photograph, which surprised me. No doubt this had something to do with her resignation from ITV etc... but thats a whole new story that can be interpreted as you wish.

Ricky can ramble for England!

Anyway, at the end of the show Elton said "we have to dash now as we've got to be in Maidstone as Ricky's appearing on The Mint on ITV at 12.30" The audience went silent and hadn't a clue what The Mint was! Razz

One thing that niggles me about The Mint... when a caller gives an answer which isn't in the predetermined list, a graphic comes on screen saying "WRONG!" in big letters. Well, technically, they usually aren't "wrong" answers, they're just not the ones that were selected.

I know it's minor, and I'm nitpicking purely because I don't like The Mint for not being Quizmania, but I thought I'd bring it up anyway!
