Although it's been a turkey in the ratings.
Really? Last time I checked they were just below Richard & Judy.
Richard and Judy get about 2.1 Million, The Christmas Show gets about 1.5 Million. More emabarassingly for ITV is that BBC Two is the most popular channel from about 5.15pm until 5.35pm.
Why do they need another soap? They've had two flops and I am certain they said they will never bother with a soap again.
One problem is why we need the same programme every day, what happened to the time where there were different programmes on different days? That had more sense. It wasn't bad in late 2001 when they only had Crossroads on 4 times a week and they also juggled a couple of quiz shows in that slot too, I thought that idea worked well. Frankly there has been no good programmes on ITV at tea time, as they're pratically offering the same option as BBC Two and Channel 4, something for the younger audience is needed, as we all don't like Blue Peter. The loss of Home and Away and the News at 5.40 haven't helped either.
Even Movies, Games and Videos was a good filler! They would be better off if they moved one of their suitable Night Time fillers to 5pm, cheap to make, it's something different and interesting, such as Cybernet.

The Christmas Show is a good format at the moment, a live, fun entertainment based show that is easy to watch.
