I switched on the telly at about 5am and saw ITV nightscreen... is it just me or does it look like it's been done on Powerpoint? It probably hasn't but... it does look that way...
Anyway, back to interesting conversation! Sorry for boring you - c'mon it is 5am!! :

Well however its made (using a pretty basic mixer I must say) I does look awful, and is a waste of time.
I'd rather watch programmes than learn about some stupid 'Hornblower' programme which has been advertised on nightscreen for yonks.
I don't know whats worse: Nightscreen or Job Seeker!
Let me have my own show about me!!
Asa could be my guest, and we could talk about our differences, and how the blue background on tvhome.co.uk makes my eyes go funny after while

Haha! Or rotating TV Home Forum pages through the night! Well Nightscreen is only there as a filler, much in the same way as Ceefax is. It's length can be extended or shortened depending on how much ITV overruns. Although a looping ITV(1) ident with 'We're back at 5.30am' would probably be more interesting
I don't know how they produce it now, but donkeys years back they made it using an Amiga and using Scala software (which incidentaly is much better than powerpoint for producing TV/Interactive presentations).
You can download Scala software for the PC.
Sorry, don't know the URL & haven't got time to look, but do a search for Scala
