TV
The Morning News is *very* useful for the country's growing number of night workers, there are millions of us scurrying around keeping the place going -- and it is a good programme, usually featuring several reports from the various regional news programmes also.
There are live reports, not *big* names, but recognisable ones anyway, and daytime people like Joyce Ohajah get some anchoring duties as well. The Morning News can preview the things that are expected to happen in the day ahead, market figures if you're that way inclined, as well as other facts and statistics getting their first outing of the day.
Don't forget GMTV is only half an hour later and the News Hour manages many reporters, Cordelia Kretzschmar, Sue James, Alan Fisher etc to be on the scene for two-ways and interviews too.
The paper review is ok [better when they have to hold them up if the little over-the-shoulder camera isn't working], and the foregone conclusion text poll is always interesting for revealing the right-wing views of nocturnal people.

On this subject, what is the point of the Morning News? Does it attract large audiences or is it just to fill some time and prepare for the News Channels morning reports? I notice it goes out seven days a week at 5.30am, doe sit have live reports from ITV News reporters (like Nick Robinson, Tim Ewart, Bill Neely etc) or is it unknows?
Cheers
