Now that ITV have sadly lost some of the Football Rights, I wonder if the News At 1030 will be on seven days a week.
I doubt it as that would mean ITV wouldn't be able to show long post-watershed dramas or films on any day of the week. They will no doubt use the Sunday 9-11pm slot to continue to show 2 hour long dramas
The news pops up at various times between 9 -11 on Saturdays. The Premiership going won't make a blind bit of difference.
On another note, I'm sad to see the NC was back to it's previous self today after a relatively good week. I'm sure it wouldn't have hurt to have somebody like Alex Thomas in talking over what was a brilliant day football-wise.

Yes, it's been rather boring today, though to be fair it hasn't been a particularly strong news day.
I would have liked to see a couple of UK Today features around the time of the regional ITV1 bulletins.
But the indications are that the NC will continue to change in the weeks ahead.
These short weekend bulletins on ITV1 are a joke really. They ought to make them a full 15 minutes at least.
It was originally meant to be 15 mins at 10.15 but the extra I'm a Celebrity coverage pushed it back to 10.30, and only 10 mins because The Premiership would have started too late.
Notice it started near enough on time tonight, ok it was about 10:30.45 but that still is on time rounded down to the nearest minute!

Well I wish I lived in your fantastic world where each minute lasted 100 seconds, but being that minutes last 60 seconds it would automatically be rounded UP to the nearest minute, 22:31.

I think the exact same thing, if ITV want to rival the BBC, they really need more substantial bulletins. News at Ten Thirty needs to be extended by ten minutes, maybe these ten minutes for local news. The other half hour needs proper in-depth analysis, along with more newspapers and markets etc.

Can anyone get some good clear images of the new look and upload them. I am on the hunt for pictures that are good quality in a slide show full screen. I have got a really good one of the old set but I would like to have the new set instead as this is the current set.
Its all growing on me except for the logo bring back the tower one.

I love your optimism and positivity, but ITV News on a Saturday is NEVER on for 15 mins despite it's billing.
TBH, i don't think it really matters about the length of that particular bulletin. The majority of it's viewers are merely waiting for the Premiership to start, and so an in depth prog. would hardly be well received.
And I quite like that Football Extra programme, nice idea. It's a shame it won't last after the summer though.
Notice on the schedule earlier that John Suchet is presenting tonight. Considering he's retiring, it seems daft having him as part of the new look for just a month or so.
Also, re: the Weekend News. Bill Neely is really growing on me now - when he first started he just seemed to shout, but after his stint on the Evening News a couple of weeks a go I think he's alot better now.
And as said above - will Felicity stay on six days a week. With ITV losing the Premiership rights, I think they should get Matt Smith to do the sport when Felicity is away.

Why ? He isn't 60 until March. What kind of employer would deny somebody who had given so much of their lifes work to them the chance to finish off their career properly ? New look or not.
