Has everyone got a new Weather intro? We have in Mids...

I really hope they haven't changed the former GMG graphics - the fabulous TTTV edit of the GMG Generic Weather intro was back on this weekend - I'm guessing the sponsor has dissapeared because of the ceasure of GMG.

Westcountry News does look much better under the corporate look - and I love the way the astons just have 'Westcountry' on them. No 'News' no 'ITV' no 'Carlton' - I didn't think I'd ever see that again.

I do wonder why they are using the Brunel rail bridge as their backdrop though. Sure, I realise it's in the region and on the border between the two main counties they serve, but it's hardly representative of the whole region. And if they are going for that theme then the Tamar road bridge would probably be more recogniseable.

Nice also to see that it's still 'Westcountry' and they haven't been forced to adopt 'West Country'.

That's what I'd guess too. It would be nice if the EPG data was correct.

Interesting that they're promising a roundup from the regions this hour. Maybe it's to take advantage of the lives the regions will have set up for the 1500 bulletin.

And I was right. Regional Round-up at 1520 daily, starting today with a report from Scotland Today, then to someone in the Anglia News studio

Nice little feature - and good to see the regional programmes at 6 given a plug.

Very Nationwidey - are they doing it straight after the regional bully on ITV1 - so all the studios / galleries would be staffed?

And next a weekly property feature and a movie feature with the excellent John Marriott. Shaping up very nicely.
