ITV News Relaunch

Clean, crisp and modern. Absolutely lovely. And long, long overdue. Well done ITN. Well worth staying up for.

Well done ITV. I think it looks good.

This presenter's awful. And the audio feedback is giving me a headache.

I think the word is Underwhelming. Looks a little bit tacky. Having the logo and time/date in different areas of the screen looks a bit weird as well, would look better if they were in the same place. I don't like the plain text only logo either, would be better if they went with the proper ITV logo.

Did like the new titles though, a lot better than the last ones.

Doesn't seem to be anything special to say about the graphics either. No animation, bit too simple, nothing outstanding like the News 24 and Sky News graphics, and how they all slot together and integrate. Perhaps these may appear later, but looking at them this morning it doesn't look like it.

Overall: an improvement, but doesn't live up to all the hype.

The studio is madness. There's nothing to it, do we colour it in ourselves? It's like a bad 1980s computer game.

I think we're probably going to have to wait until we have two presenters to see what the 'theatre of news' can do.

But that could only be for 0.5 out of 24 hours!

Anyone else getting a feeling of déjà vu?

I prefer the old set. Having this VR background doesn't look right, I did think it might look alright from the various images on MediaGuardian etc., but on-air it looks like something a cheap local American station would use.

The best thing about this relaunch is the new titles and music. Everything else, sorry, don't really like them. It might grow on me, but to me it just doesn't look right. Sorry.
