ITV News Relaunch

From the few minutes of the NC earlier this morning, I like the new look ITV News.

The set is a vast improvement on the ageing and vulgar wood/blue background set, the virtual set looks great on set, the colour scheme is more newsy and warm.

The presentation is improved as well, good to see Alistair Stewart back. The graphics are a mighty improvement too, the blue/yellow astons and captions are more appealing to the eye than the old globe ITV News captions, and the "slugs" are less distracting and more subtle than Sky News (sorry).

All in all, well done ITV News, you've done a great job so far, keep up the good work

what were the weather bulletins like for the former granada regions? i though we were going to have 'itv' ahead of the name of the programme. ie itv central news?

Just had a thought - presumably any studio guests who arrive wearing green have to sit at the newsroom camera position ?

when somebody sees it next, i would love to know what the westcountry studio/cso looks like. thanks.

There isnt as much excitement as expected for this relaunch!

There were loads of posts for BBC News 24 and SKy relaunches and been as ITV News Channel and MOST of the regions have relaunched you wouldve thought the post count would be much higher!

Maybe people dont care about ITV like they do with sky and bbc?
