Also why do ITV put the ITV Weather website address over the Channel Islands on the map?

Yorkshire's News prog is called Calendar, not Yorkshire Calendar News. Central's 6pm news is called Central News At Six, not just Central News.

There are 27 ITV regions in the UK. Westcountry has 4 sub-opts, Meridian 3, HTV 2, Central 3, Anglia 2(3?), YTV 3, Tyne Tees 2, Border 2.

Of those only Meridian, HTV, Central and Anglia actually have completely separate news programmes -- although Tyne Tees' show 'North East Today' which is a news/features programme (at least 50-60% of it is news) also has completely separate programmes (the evening programme is about 40% divided).

Anglia has two news services, East and West. Although it can and does split three ways for adverts - depends what you count as a region!

And London Tonight! And yes,I know,no sub opts but still you missed it!
I don't mind though,it's dire.

I think that HTV does a brilliant job at running two separate services AND have such a strong regional commitment.
