Er, no. I chose to watch ITVNC because I was interested in the breaking news which they were featuring. It was the first channel I came across. I didn't even check N24 and Sky.

Hmm so you CHOSE to watch ITVNC as they were breaking some news?

Surely the tv-forumers that we are its in our blood to turn over and see how SKY and BBC are doing surely?

BUT yes the other channels werent covering it at that time you were stuck with ITVNC!

The only thing that puzzles me is youve already stated that you havent watched the ITVNC for a while (as you havent seen those new breaking news stings) but then you mention here that you chose to watch it because of the breaking news. SO - how did you know about the breaking news before tuning in?

Those bumpers are pretty poor IMHO. The one of central london looks ok, but the others just look like they were done on the cheap - the ones of the front and roof of the ITN building obviously took so much effort to film...

And the logo is just awful. The 'ITV news' logo is bad enough by itself (just doesn't look newsy to me), but having the word 'channel' on a separate, tackily bevelled, bit of yellow really takes the biscuit. If this is an indication of what we can expect from the relaunch next year, I'm not holding my breath!

I knew about the breaking news because I read it on the forum. I tuned into ITVNC because they were showing live pictures of London, which is what I wanted to see.

Unlike some on this forum, I really don't have a loyalty to a news channel. Unless its a rolling event such as 9/11, I'm hardly going to look at all the others to see who is doing what. I only looked at it for 5 mins.

Can anyone cap these new bumpers?

Also, a note to all of you in control of the main presentation websites - the ITV News titles were changed months ago, and still no one has them to download!!!

Just a colour & headline bed change granted, but if it were on the BBC...

it'd be on every website within an hour!. Same goes for the lack of GMTV stuff, it must be that all the webmasters are part of the BBC brigade!

Because they're covering the blackout. That and because it's being presented by my favourite news anchor.

Did I mean to say anchor? Confused

Your increasing veiled attacks about this person are very tiresome. It caused the forum problems before, why are you wishing to make capital out of it ?

Why don't you keep to your promise you made over the issue if you are still that bothered by it and not contribute anymore ?

My comments have nothing to do with the previous events. I've never been keen on Chris Rogers presenting-wise, although it's fair to say certainly didn't go up in my estimations after said events.

All I am doing is providing my opinion of how someone reads the news. It's not illegal and it occurs on here all the time. I've even gone out of my way to make it clear that it is my opinion.

It's just the same as you calling my comments "tiresome". That's your opinion, to which you're entitled. People died trying to get us that privilege, which is why we should take great advantage of it.
