Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but I tuned into the ITVNC to see that they are using new break stings which are completely different to the ITV News ones.

They have the proper ITVNC logo with something like "Breaking Britain's News" written under it. The backdrop is the studio gallery, and the music is plinky plonky.

Are they new?

About three weeks ago they were new.

No need to be so sarcastic. I apologised if they were not new. Shows how much I watch the ITV NC then. I don't remember seeing a thread on them. I assume that its in the very long ITV News Changes thread. I had a look at the last few pages but couldn't find it.

The stings are very underwhelming, aren't they?

i kinda like the concept behind the if im honest. especially the one featuring the lovely exterior of the ITN building.

that tacky "itv news" logo spoils them though.

Yes ITV News Channel have been using these for a while now and I REALLY like them!

Im sure its a nod towards what the relaunch in 2004 will look like! Also why are you watching ITV NC whataday if you havent watched it for a while?

Because they're covering the blackout. That and because it's being presented by my favourite news anchor.

Did I mean to say anchor? Confused

Anyway, further details of my viewing habits can be obtained by sending off for a factsheet.

You MEAN to say that you HAVE to watch ITVNC because BBC and SKY havent bothered covering it until now as they were trawling out their Hutton Inquiry footage!

I like the way they sometimes cut to a studio wide-shot with the "Breaking news for Britain" caption on the videoscreen.

They work quite well when they use the ITV News theme over them too... am I the only person that likes the current ITV News theme? It's well recognised and dramatic. I like it a lot.

Er, no. I chose to watch ITVNC because I was interested in the breaking news which they were featuring. It was the first channel I came across. I didn't even check N24 and Sky.

Breaking news for Britain?

Aren't we lucky. Don't we all feel so proud to have them serving us.

Do ITV have designs on becoming the British-Fox News?

Is Chris Rogers the blonde haired guy who stirred up some trouble here? I saw him on the ITV News Channel today and never quite realised who he was.

He briefly presented the afternoon slot on Sky News.

Briefly.
