Caroline Kerr was presenting on the ITN News Channel before when, after a live markets update from Fergus Shepherd, she said 'And there's market updates every weekday at this time on the ITV News Channel'.

I know, I know, it's probably a mistake, but seeing how ITV News have nicked all of itn.co.uk's content and how the ITN News Channel uses mostly ITV News reports and presenters, I wonder how long it will be before it is the ITV News Channel, because after all, ITV are very keen on the idea of a news channel of their own, and the ITN News Channel isn't doing brilliantly at the moment, is it?

On the subject of ITN, does anyone else agree with me that ITN would be a lot better if it was presented LDN style, like on their trailers with Andrew Harvey and Daljit Dhaliwahl where they are in various locations in the ITN building? They could take over a balcony of the building, bung in a plasma screen, and Bob's your uncle and Fanny's your auntie, a trendy news studio! All those balconies surrounded by glass, they're very nice.

In the days when I managed a fantasy media conglomerate in my head (based at 4 Piccadilly, London W1C 4SH incidentally - that's how sad I WAS!!), I used to own a news channel. It was about the same time as the launch of News 24, and I imagined that the channel was completely informal and in the style of LDN.

It was a channel where it wouldn't matter if you saw a camera or autocue, and the presenters weren't afraid to be relaxed on camera. Relaxed, but always informed, in touch and accessible.

NEWS THE WORLD OVER was the slogan.

Thankfully, I'm not that bad 4/5 years on!
