Wow I had no idea it was CSO, I thought when I first saw the studio it was but then with the camera on the jib moving I presumed it was a really big projector, how on earth does a CSO work with a moving camera, getting the overlay to move the same was as the camera...? That and there's no green anywhere that I can see.

I wonder if the ITV News Channel will reshow the item shown today on This Morning reporting on John Suchet's last day at ITN (as he kept calling it! lol)

It was a great item full of insight into the worknigs behind ITV News and it was good also to see some of the presenters NOT in that studio and relaxing with some champagne. It was quite an emotional farewell and some effort went into the This Morning report! Its a waste if its only shown the once!

PS The green cso works really well and you would never know that it was chromakey!

I have just watched back my recording of This Morning. Excellent report. It give an insight into life at ITN. It's a real shame to see John go as all the presenters said he is the best in the business, I agree with, but I want to know why was Trevor in on John's last day?? What was he exactly doing?

It could have been a farewell drink, and don't forget he's co-editor (i believe?) of the News at 10.30. So maybe he goes in without necessarily going on air.

And Mary was there as well, despite her not doing the news yesterday

Mary was supposed to be doing the 10.30 today. I guess Mark will do it instead.

Well she may still do it!

I wonder if Mark Austin will soon enough move to being the permanent alternate presenter of the 10.30?

Well it's Katie at 10.30 tonight - she's had a long day - Lunchtime News, London Tonight and News at 10.30

The publicity at the time of the relaunch said that Mark and Mary would cover for Trevor on the 10.30, combining that with their Evening News duties
