Well i suppose the bills need to be paid somehow. I can see these rotas repeating themselves throughout this week as well, like last week. I'm disappointed that they still have to use the CSO from 4 though.

They're using fewer presenters on the NC today - Chris Rogers has done 4.5 hours today between 1pm and 9.30pm and Leyla is doing 4 hours between 3pm and 10.30pm

I'm just hoping that the extended rehearsal/recording time is because not all staff are used to the new setup yet. For example, tonight's theatre of news extravaganza on the Evening News was done by John Ray, who hadn't done anything on the new set last week, and I guess the technical people are still getting the hang of it all too.
If what Catherine Jacob said in that interview was correct and 5pm is their flagship sequence, it does seem odd that they're not operating a full service at that time.

My thought exactly at the end of the other thread!
A simple set up using the old set re arranged and re painted. They could easily use the old big screen, then have the old newsroom screen, except have them arranged differently, and perhaps with different windows.

Ain't it about time they got a duplicate set?
Bl***y silly having to swop from studio to studio, 'cos of flipping ITV 1 !

It wouldn't really be a problem if the time in the CSO was limited, maybe soon it will go back to just an hour before each bulletin, it therefore wouldn't be worth having a second big studio for just three hours maximum

I feel its a shame that the ITV News relaunch thread has been closed ALREADY.
I see that the BBC News 24 thread has also JUST been closed even though the news 24 rebrand was a while back now whereas the ITV News rebrand is only just a week old and still rebrand issues will arise!
Why has the ITV News rebrand thread been closed only after a week whereas the BBC News rebrand thread was allowed to stay for 2 months!
This does really stink of the BBC Brigade taking over again!

Why moan, when we have a replacement anyway? The BBC News thread descended into argument and nerd-talk anyway and so neede to be refreshed.

I guess the key difference on today's NC schedule was that Felicity didn't present at all, despite being there for the sport on the 10.30 programme
