I liked the 2004 - 2006 package, it just seems they were trying out new ideas with on-screen presentation.
I also have a soft spot for this:

Yeah remember they use to do a coming up bit and show clips of the next show etc, that did not last long though.

Drama promos just published on YT.
Thanks for posting. Not bad. I wonder how long the branding people will complain that the itv logo isn't prominent enough, though.

I quite liked that set - and thinking about it a few years on those could have worked in conjunction with most of the regional logos by having the cube turn round to reveal the symbol where the 1 is.

And this version has a mention of just 'ITV'

On 1st November 2004 another look was introduced. Though this appeared to be a more traditional look on the surface, the plan was for idents to promote upcoming programmes with the boxes unfurling to show a clip from a programme still to come. ITV took on extra APs to produce these, but within a year use of these "promotional" idents became less and less to the point of non-existant.

Although at least the regional name did appear for local non-news programming and it was more prominent than any other 2002-onwards logos.

The only redeeming factor of this ident is that the dog looks like my cat.
I know "I could easily make this" is an overused statement, but, come on

Yes - I think this would have been quite a nice idea.
