We were all told some weeks back that the new idents have hints of the 2006 ones. While it is somewhat disappointing, what else were you all expecting?!
If I was to judge the Pugwash ident by one of the 2006 set, I'd say this one's not a bad piece of film - it's a cute little sequence that will no doubt provoke a few "awww!"s across the country. The ITV logo needs to be much more visible that it currently is though, and I'd wager that's one of the first corrections we're going to see later on.
Definitely looking forward to the general channel presentation, though, such as trailer endboards and ECPs. I hope ITV News is worth the wait as well.

Ugh, yeah, that ident was boring, and the way the logo is hard to see and totally disappears half way through the ident doesn't give the impression of a strong brand. Major fail. I hope they aren't all that bad.
The other ones I saw (and seeing as one was mentioned in the marketing bumpf I presume it'll get used), that level of "wait is the logo there" is seen in the rest. Pity the colours used in the idents aren't as vibrant as the ITV logo - so even if they edit them to stop them blending in so much, it's still a weird disconnect.
Good to see that somebody knows how to do a decent mock. Guys, if you're going to do a mock, use a logo with a transparent background. White boxes ruin the effect!
