but surley idents will be shown during ad breaks, "Thus" being at 6am...?


The studio director for Daybreak said there would be a *minor* change to the titles to reflect the rebrand.

How would that work? It would have to fade in, which would ruin the effect of the lines 'wiping' things on.

I really would like an ident reinstated at 6pm. Although it's happened for some years now, it still feels odd to go from an advert break straight into the regional news. They don't even have to be region specific, just a generic "now on ITV, the latest events from across our region" would suffice.


Or do what some regions used to do and incorporate an ident into the titles?

Yes, because it's impossible for the ITV logo to wipe in...

Would they not have to go back to the designers? Or is it possible to do it live everyday, at the same time ?

BGT (auditions) start 2 days after the rebrand, I'm guessing the new logo might be widely used there?

I was on Kirkstall Road in Leeds earlier, outside ITV Yorkshire's studios. No signage on the building yet, but there is a sign at the gates with the new ITV logo on it.

The itv regional sets have been in use for nearly a decade now with a few color changes here and there.
I think they have lasted very well in my opinion.
