Might sound a stupid question, but will ITV Presentation finally be in HD? Because currently all the promos and idents are in SD (except for the logo and DOG that appears on ITV1 HD)

Would a pre-recorded announcer over an ident at 6pm (and even 6.29pm) be on the cards with this rebrand?

I wonder whether, in order to give the regional programmes the same "feel" as the national news, the post-titles wideshot will have a booming male voiceover saying e.g. "This is ITV News Meridian... at six o'clock"?

I've assumed that any such arrangement would avoid including presenters names, so that the same bloke who does it on the nationals can just record enough variations for each region/sub-region, and that same one recording can be reused "forever more", rather than having to be re-recorded for every concievable different combination of presenters in every region.

There are regional voiceovers in some places, London Tonight and The West Country Tonight are two regions that use them, although TWCT use a different artist. There wouldn't really be that many different combinations for each region, just-

Lunchtime Presenter
Male Presenter and Female Presenter
Male Presenter and Lunchtime Presenter/Female Presenter and Lunchtime Presenter
Male Presenter and Relief Presenter x3 (roughly)
Female Presenter and Relief Presenter x3 (roughly)
Male Presenter and Daybreak Presenter/Female Presenter and Daybreak Presenter

If it did happen, they would probably be recorded like the Sky News voiceovers eg-
'This is *Programme Name*'
'This is a special edition *Programme Name*: *Edition Name*'
'with *Senior Presenter* and...'
'with *Senior Presenter*, ...'
'Other Presenter
'and Other Presenter

That is they are still having the voiceover. What struck me and leads me to think that there might not be one or a change in voice is because of ITV London's set of voiceovers. Despite Lucrezia Millarini presenting London Tonight for a couple of months she currently has no voiceover and just uses the generic "This is London Tonight" announcement, if they were to be carrying the same voiceover then surely they would have got the current voice in to record one considering she has been presenting now for quite some time.

Technically I think Lucrezia is a 'substitute' until LT get a new signing or a new rota comes into place.

I really would like an ident reinstated at 6pm. Although it's happened for some years now, it still feels odd to go from an advert break straight into the regional news. They don't even have to be region specific, just a generic "now on ITV, the latest events from across our region" would suffice.

Is there really a point to having one there, especially as the name of the programme will contain the name of the channel? Why tell the audience that they're watching ITV and now here's the news when the following programme is called ITV news?

It also seems pretty pointless to have a recorded announcement into a programme presented by what is essentially a live announcer.

I think Lucrezia is going to remain as a presenter and in the past ITV have had the voiceover come in before to record extra voiceovers.

I agree with Nicky. Just a normal ITV ident, nothing region specific, and quite general
'Gail reaches a dilemma in Coronation Street in an hour, but first the latest ITV News, from across our region.'

Its doubtful, 5.59 ITV1 yellow - Daybreak, thus the new ident and logo will be at 9.25.

How do you know that the Daybreak will not have the new logo then?

Daybreak will implement the new logo into its titles.
